on and Linda Barnes embrace Christian service with every fiber of their beings. He served Lawton First Assembly from 1991 to 1998 as associate pastor and 1999 to present as senior pastor. Don has a pastor’s heart, administrative gifts and a passion for sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone he meets—going beyond the walls of the church to the community, the state, the nation and the world. Linda loves and has a heart to minister to children, especially preschoolers, and a heart for worship.
Their family includes their daughter, Heather; her husband, Siddharth Chatterjee; their granddaughter, Alyssa; their son, Brent; and, his wife, Lindsay. Pastor Don and Linda are awaiting the arrival of their first grandson, “Baby Barnes,” in February 2012.
LFA is all about people. My passion is to see people connected to God and each other. I desire to see people grow strong in their faith and become more Christ-like in their actions. God’s goal for each of us is to develop our gifts in serving the needs of others. This means that we must take the gospel to the whole world.
