What’s that ATM thingy in the Atrium?
We could call it an ATM–Automatic Tithing Machine (just kidding!). It’s actually called a “Giving Kiosk” and is located in the Atrium just left of the information counters. It’s basically a way to give tithes and offerings using a debit or credit card. Why would we do this?
Look in your pocket or purse right now. Do you have a check book? If you do, you may be among the few who do nowadays.
Pull out your wallet. How much cash do you have? Many people carry less than $20 cash. Trends in electronic bill paying have changed the way many people buy things and donate to churches and charitable organizations.
The Giving Kiosk is a simple way to give using the same forms of payment many of you use every day–your Debit/Credit Card. It’s easy, fast, and convenient.
Will we still pass the offering plate at church? You bet! There are several ways to give, and all are important. What’s more important is that we all give to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That’s what it’s all about.
