COVID-19 Information

Update • August 2021

Dear LFA Family,

The pastoral leadership of Lawton First Assembly has worked really hard to communicate clearly and effectively over the past year as significant events surrounding Covid-19 have necessitated change, and we will continue to do so.

It is recommended all those with compromised immune systems or underlying medical conditions follow the advice of their health care providers concerning attending services/events in person at LFA. Live streaming of our services is available Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings at regular service times. Visit live.lawtonfirst.org.

Please don’t attend services/events in-person at LFA if you or anyone in your household:

  • Has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and hasn't met the criteria for when it's safe to be around others.
  • Has symptoms of COVID-19.
  • Has tested positive to COVID-19. (Please follow the quarantine recommendation of your health care provider before returning to on-site services/events.)
  • Is waiting for the results of a COVID-19 test.
  • If you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.

When at LFA, help reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 by taking some simple precautions such as washing your hands, using hand sanitizer, and coughing/sneezing into a bent elbow or tissue.

LFA staff, everyone who attends LFA, and all who serve on LFA ministry serve teams are not required to wear a mask at this time. It is your personal choice to wear a mask or not wear a mask while on the premises at LFA. We respect everyone's personal choice and ask that you do as well while at LFA.

Concerning the COVID-19 vaccine, we want to make it very clear that we do not require LFA staff nor those who attend LFA to vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine in order to be employed or attend in person. Receiving the COVID-19 vaccine is a personal choice, and we respect everyone's decision to receive the vaccine or to not receive the vaccine.

A great deal of thought and prayer goes into the decisions we make concerning the COVID-19 pandemic. We ask that you continue to give us grace as we navigate these waters and continue to lift us up in your prayers as we lean into the Holy Spirit to give us wisdom and discernment in these challenging times.
