COVID-19 Information

Update • March 24, 2021

Dear LFA Family,

The pastoral leadership of Lawton First Assembly has worked really hard to communicate clearly and effectively over the past year as significant events surrounding Covid-19 have necessitated change, and we will continue to do so.

On Wednesday, March 24, 2021, the Lawton City Council rescinded their mask mandate for the City of Lawton. As a result, LFA staff, everyone who attends LFA, and all who serve on LFA ministries' serve teams are no longer required to wear a mask. It is now your personal choice to wear a mask or not wear a mask while on the premises at LFA. We respect everyone's personal choice.

Concerning the Covid-19 vaccine, we want to make it very clear that we do not require LFA staff, LFA serve team members, nor those who attend LFA to be vaccinated with the Covid-19 vaccine in order to be employed, serve on a serve team, or attend in person. Receiving the Covid-19 vaccine is a personal choice, and we respect everyone's decision to receive the vaccine or not receive the vaccine.

A great deal of thought and prayer goes into the decisions we make concerning the Covid-19 pandemic. We ask that you continue to give us grace as we navigate these waters and continue to lift us up in your prayers as we lean into the Holy Spirit to give us wisdom and discernment in these challenging times.

Yours sincerely,

LFA Pastoral Leadership
