Introduction

At Lawton First Assembly, we strive to demonstrate God's love to our church and community by assisting with the resources that God has made available to us. Due to the high volume of requests we receive, we have established the following criteria for consideration for assistance. If you meet these requirements, you are welcome to fill out an application below; however, please note that there are no guarantees that funds will be available. The application process takes approximately two weeks, and if funds are approved, checks will only be issued directly to the service provider for which you are requesting assistance.

Please note: We do not provide cash or checks payable to any applicants.

Eligibility Criteria

To be approved for assistance, you must meet the following criteria:

1. Attendance Requirement: The applicant must have attended at least two services per month for the past three months. Attendance can be recorded by filling out an offering envelope.

2. Documentation: A copy of the bill for which you are requesting assistance is required when applying.

3. Application Limitations: There is a six-month waiting period between applications. Applicants are no longer eligible for assistance beyond a third request.

4. Priority: Our members are our priority, followed by regular attendees who are currently involved at Lawton First Assembly through volunteering, participation in small groups, or giving.

5. Financial Coaching: If an applicant has received assistance once, they must schedule a financial coaching appointment, which is available free of charge. To make an appointment, please visit: (https://lawtonfirst.org/financial-coaching).

Assistance Coverage

Lawton First Assembly assistance can cover:

• Utilities (electric, water, gas/propane)

• Partial rent/mortgage

Important Note: Funds will generally be allocated solely for essential needs and circumstances that pose an immediate threat to an individual's well-being. Requests for assistance that do not meet these criteria will not be considered for funding. For situations requiring further discussion or review, individuals are encouraged to make an appointment with the Executive Pastor of Finance and Operations at Lawton First Assembly.
